Wolf-cat? Yes, it looks more cat-like save for a few ‘wolfish’ features like the slender legs and narrow muzzle.

I originally created this model from a concept sketch provided by Chenneoue for use on a mod. However, after looking over the model again I’m not sure if the mesh normals were arranged in a very effective manner. My concern is that the mesh will not deform properly when animated.

Untextured model.

Any suggestions on how to improve the overall quality of the model would be greatly appreciated.

Modeled in 3D Studio MAX 2.5.

The problem is that you are completly unsure of the geometry of his legs.. check out this ref to show you how the legs looke like
The mesh itself looks quite solid. Keep it up

Yes, the legs were one of the things that bothered me after giving the model a closer lookover. Due to the cat-like features, the legs will appear a bit more squat than a canine's.

As far as the geometry goes, which legs have the most problem (front or back)? and in what aspect are they in most need of adjusting?

Thank you very much for the critque...very much appreciated.

I plan on using texture maps for the fur. My original texture turned out rather bad so I wanted to redo it in a more realistic pattern.

Looks really great- if anything I'd only modify topology a bit on bends of legs.
