Does anyone know why I would be getting these problems with the shadows in 3ds max 5. I dont know very much about lighting. This is an image i'm using as a base for making a 2d composition. It would really help if I could fix these shadow problems before I begin turning this into a completed composition. Thanks for any help.

Looks like you need to up the resolution of your shadow maps

I'd also have a play with the shadow bias options as well.
