Damn that Grim Fandango... he apparently has the monopoly on stylized skeletons... It's funny to me how people remember Grim Fandango looking.

YES! I remember the first time I saw this! And I remember thinking it seemed to be a cool short in the making. I'm so glad that you're still in the making :D
