View Full Version : Scott MacDonald - Animation Session 10 - Dialogue 3
Obraxis 10-05-2004, 11:38 PM Hi all, this is my first animation session. I'll be doing this in my spare time from working.
I'll be using the Generi Rig by Andrew Silke from HERE (http://www.andrewsilke.com/generi_rig/generi_rig.html) doing the 3rd Sound clip.
My first animation session like others :)

can you check if the whole file is up on the server? The file transfer finishes at 1431kb and the file won't work.

Fixed - the server went down last night and took part of the file with it. Host says all is well now :)

UPDATE:
Ok, had some time to work on it a bit. I cleaned up the 100's of unused keys that were making him pop-about, started some lip-sync, and finally worked out how best for him to flick the stick into the air (dam, Maya doesnt really like animated contraints! Hehe!)

Hi!
When looking at the stick-throwing part I get the feeling that the stick has more weight when he catches it. Don't get me wrong, I know about the gravitational effect and all that it's just that it seems so effortless when he throws it and somewhat heavier when catching it.
Maybe it's just me... I don't know. Just reacted a little when watching it.
Great anim anyways..

I totaly agree with you. I had a feeling about it myself - its now fixed :)
Added lipsync/fingers/blinking/eyebrow/hand movement and some general fixes. Wish I had more time, but hey, that's life :D
