CGTalk - character painting

Hi all i am now trying to do my second traditional painting ever but i need som crits on this one to improve this is what i complished so far still lots to do i seem to have problem with lips and eyes someone hwo can give me some suggestions and advice to improve.

i hope it´s not to bad :(

i have a photo as reference.

WOW! Looks awesome yet! Really cool! I know its quit hard to get it with so much dept (I think ;) : something I created some time ago: http://members.lycos.nl/oldentower/bestanden/sketch%2098%20Whos%20the%20Babe.jpg ; thats worse...:rolleyes: ) Her face looks quit pretty and also with allot dept! :)

Only comment / thing I'd change, is her mouth; it looks a bit to flat, and looks not lighted in the same way as the other parts of her face...

Yes that is my biggest problem the lips i have to fix that hm......Here is an update.

Yeah the only thing I can see is the lips but great start. I want to do stuff like this. I will be on the lookout for the updates.

Firstly the mouth is slightly off centre. Her face is turned slightly to her left, but the mouth appears front on. Try moving it a bit to the right (our right!) and adding a little perpective. The eyes aren't far off but her left eye looks a little hooded. I think its just a matter of refing the shape along the top of it.

Ok i have done some minor changes lips, clothes and minor on left eye (our left).

what do you think about the lips now?

oh wow. that last one was a nice jump. you fixed the lighting to match everything... and the bedsheet. This is looking very good so far, photorealistic in a way, but without losing that flow you use when painting.

I assume you're going to blur the rest of her body a bit, to generate a feel of depth?

Oh and you are going to give her right eye eyelashes as well aren't you, you little pervert? :wip:
