Simple question but I don't know if it's a simple answer.I have bodypaint and I have flattened the mesh and start to work with it.
To be honest I prefer photoshop to do this kind of stuff cause I know it like the palm of my hand.So is there a way I can grab the flattened mesh and work on photoshop?If I save the texture as tif as it is logical I get only what I have coloured so far and not the flattened mesh.So what do I do?

what you're needing is a texture template.

UVMapper (free version) will make one for you.

the answer to this is pretty simple. just choose from the menu:
painter-->functions-->fill polygon edges :D
then you have your uvs in PS, too. but be sure to choose a hard and small airbrush tool with a white colour or at least a colour that you can see pretty good.
pretty simple isn't it? :wavey:

Hey thats a great tip derwolpertinger :thumbsup:

I also use the selection tools zoom way in and trace around the ripped pieces of map,then put a new color on each piece on a new layer.For instance arms green,legs blue etc.Next I save as a psd and cntrl/com click each indivdual layer in PS use the save selection menu and save each piece as a channel and name it,then when things get a bit busy and I might start losing the edge a bit I just reload the alpha for the piece again and clean up once more:thumbsup:

there is an icon on the right I can't remeber what it looks like as I haven't used BP in months, but it is the icon for that menu command
