Ok, every day I sit down and do some 3ds max as a hobby. I find 3ds max very powerful and extremely fun. So, as I was working on Tutorial 6: Low Polygon Character Modeling section in the tutorial book, I have noticed some parts of this are extremely frustrating to get perfectly right. As anyone actually gone through the tutorial book here and done every, well not perfect, but almost to where they are close enough? Sometimes I get extremely frustrated but calm down once I tell myself just to give myself time and slow down.

Anyone else find that the tutorials in 3ds max are difficult to complete? Thanks.

What tut book are you using? I know that from past experience the only tut books that ever worked properly when I was new to the program was the ones that shipped with max. I tried the New Riders stuff and I found them to have left out lots of info. I wouldn't try any 3rd party publications until you're familiar with the program. Like I said stick with the books that ship, even the old ones would be good if you can find them.

Cheers!
