CGTalk - Turn off Backfaces

Okay I'm kinda new to Maya.

I have a really simple question. I'm at the point where I have to texture a model. However I don't know how to turn off the backface selection. I only want to select the faces facing me.

Can anyone help

Select model that you want to backfaceculling turn on. Then from mainmenu,
Display→CustomPolygonDisplay option(a small cube mark)→Backfaceculling On.

Ctrl+Shift+b...I think is what youre refering too.
