ok i have been doing alot of character type paintings so i decided to do this quick on for a feel for a non-organic object
about 1/2 hour
painter 9 and photoshop
wacom tablet

well, there's not much to crit (but I hate seeing posts without replies :) )

You've done a decent job with the material indication - the metal looks shiney etc.

The lazer dosn't look very bright though - looks more like one of those toy lightsabers.

but its a decent quick study.

yeah the 'blade' part was an afterthought..... just not enough space to make it look good.
