This is one of my first models, and I really don't want to become one of the lamers that starts a game art thread and lets it die out. I will do everyhting in my power to finish this model although my experience is lacking. Although my final product will quite possibly suck, I'm sure I will learn very much in the process. Thank you for viewing.

(this concept has already gone through changes while modelling, so don't assume the details from this concept will follow through to the final model.)

And the beginning of the first leg:

Looks pretty good so far, nice concept.

As for the experience thing...you don't get experience unless you're working on projects! Don't let the lack of ability or experience keep you from practicing. Nobody models a masterpiece their first time.

Hey looks good dude. I wonder what it would look like if the weapon were a bigger part of the overall profile - Personally, I would also like to see more detailed mechanics, cool joints etc, maybe big stable claw feet or sumthin'

Yes, the current version has large claw feet reminiscent of an AT-AT from star wars, here's a short clip I did for my friend a while ago -

I've started the cockpit, but I'm not sure I am pleased with the direction with which it is going; and I am very worried about the gun issue, I may end up strapping some artillery to the back.

Try to think out practicality too. For example: if it's in spider form, it's gotta move kinda slow. In which case, wouldn't the driver be primed to just get a headshot from another enemy? There should be some safety precautions integrated into the model.
