CGTalk - Fuzzy dream plugin

I'm looking for a plugin that makes the colors and lightning more fuzzy and soft, like a dream sequence in a movie.
Know I've seen it somewhere just can't remember....

The Max standard Rendering Effect, Lense effects - "Glow" should do that. just set it to work on the whole scene instead of a light..

Use Adobe After Effects, works just like photoshop but also for animations.

Duplicate your image in a new layer
Blur that layer
set blending mode to lighten

This way you get an effect called 'specular blooming': the bright colors seem to glow. If used to much it looks like a soft core p0rn movie though :)

there is a plugin Maxscript that comes bundeled in the Scripts folder called "SpecBloom.ms" or something to that effect. Run this under the MX window and youll find specular bloom as an option in the "render Effects" Dialog. this makes a bloom based on the hot spots in your render.

Same effect as going into PShop or AE and clamping down levels, blurring and overlaying the image onto the original.

Give a nice soft fuzzy feeling to your images. and with a bit of work you can get a good film kinda feel. IMO its best to do this in post though as you have alot more control.
