Washek 09-30-2004, 10:37 PM Hi again
Here is little wip. Iam working on lowpoly head model (in fact Iam making lots of lowpoly head in my work every day ) so I want show you how looks my lowpoly heads ...this is some kind of speed test for me I made this head in 2 hour and 20minutes 20 minutes took textures ;) . Tomorrow I'll create normal map from hipoly model and some expressions.
Head have 952 faces. (with teeth, tongue and interior of the mouth )

I really like it, where do you work?
Is it just me or are the eyes out of place a little bit?

Great model, those texture are photo sourced right, please tell me they are photo sourced.
Can we see it without texture?

Id like to see a wireframe.. that head looks way too low poly to be using that large of a texture sheet on... its just not clicking..
I can tell this is from a photo..theres nothing wrong with that at all, whatever works! But I can TELL its straight from a photo (shouldnt be able to tell).. it looks like a 3D photo.. I can see odd speculars here and there.. various remnants from photos...
also the neck is looking kind of zombie'ish..
keep us posted

I'm a little worried that with that many polys you haven't modeled the eyes in. the texture is good except for the speculars you need to edit out with photoskins

Washek, I don't agree with the eye comments above.
for low polygon model (less then 1000 polygons) it looks fine. unless you plan for animation in eye area (blink, 1/2 close etc..) I see a edit you can make near the outer corner of eye (away from nose end) looks like skin has a dark outline around the eye making look like makeup eyeliner. anyhow the eye corner that closer to the ears has a black blur that can be fixed and give a small upper eye lid fold.
Skin is fine work. Good job in the ear area, yet there is a tiny highlight in a shadow area it looks like a round white dot that is bugging me most about the skin.

yeah, the eyes are too close together, that's a large visual problem
the ears are too low too

3d.sk... i knew i recognized that dude. hehehe is that, that niki dude?
Anyway pretty good for low poly, to me...thats the way to go!
Even if texture maps take more space and memory than models. Oh well.

that low poly model is awsome. id rather have a game with low polys that looked at good as that then a game with higher polys that just looks like crap. nice work

Nemohl by jsi ukázat, jestli si dělal nějaký ženský hlavy? strašně rád by totiž viděl jaký rysy jsou tam nejdůležitější zvýraznit.
for english speeking people:
I praised his job, and ask for some female heads.
