View Full Version : A Few PoseMixer Faces
ODoul 09-30-2004, 03:31 AM Started using PoseMixer a couple of days ago. I think it's great. Here are a couple samples of what I've done so far.

How'd you find it? easy or complicated?

I remodeled this character as the first one was oddly enough pretty high poly in anticipation of the learning process being difficult and painful. I figured anything that simplified the process ie: low poly mesh, would be a good thing. Much to my surpsise, the learning curve on PoseMixer is prettly easy. I picked it up right away. Great tutorial at c4dcafe, BTW.

You might want to try EMorpher, too. Pretty inexpensive and all the info is kept in a tag. No bone or mesh duplication. Can hook it up to sliders in the AM or on screen.
I'm in 8.5, and I've heard R9 has better, more advanced PoseMixer. I'd be interested in what the differences are and what people thought of them.
Sorry, don't have the link handy...

looking good so far, but one important note:

Thanks guys. bob, I didn't even mess with PoseMixer back in 8 so I don't have anything to compare it to but it seems to do a pretty descent job. I'm happy with it's performance so far. Rick, I'm planning on doing a little animation sometime soon of all the poses in action. I've got little clips rendered but nothing too impressive yet. Kai, thanks for the tip. The eyes are motion independent so it's easy enough to make them do their own thing. I just need to keep that in mind, thanks.

flyingP: I've shyed away from DLing the demo. I know I'm going to want it but I just can't afford it right now.
