Hiya, quick question to anyone using a copy of combustion around an office or on multiple computers (but still only using one copy at a time).

Like it is possible with Max, is it posisble to transfer the Combustion 3 licence from one computer to another around a set of known computers. I know with Max you have the portable licence utility so that you can transfer the licence between, for example, your desktop and then onto your laptop when your away.?.

Has anyone done this or does anyone know if this is possible with Combustion? I cant see a licence transfer utility. I believe it was possible with version 2?

Thanks :)

There is a program that will allow you to run a server lisence for Combustion. I know it will work for Combustion 3, dunno about any earlier versions.

Anyway, the program is called Flex LM, it costs US $200. It should be available from a Discreet reseller. This program will allow multiple users to share Combustion liscnces, on a first come first serve basis.

Alternately, as long as your network it set up correctly and you only have one copy, you can install Combustion around the office, and use the same serial number all around. The first person to start Combustion will be the one to be able to use it.

I haven't had any problems running Combustion on both machines at the same time. Of course though, I am using only two machines. I don't know if this is what you mean; if it isn't I'll just quietly put my foot back in my mouth...
