Anyone using Vagas + DVD?

Hi Guys ,

I just got a sony handycam to shoot reference footage with. I am looking for a quick and easy to use solution to capture + edit and burn them on a dvd. A couple of friends recommended vagas . Was wondering if there are any vagas users here and if its worth the $800 pricetag?

honestly, if your just starting out. capture with a great little program called windv, do a google search. its free.

then, if youve got XP, use windows movie maker. its simple, cut and paste, but hey, its a start. and its also free. :]

i was a dedicated adobe premiere user, but recently i have switched to vegas premiere has more keying options but i dont use my nle for that, thats why i have a compositing program.
Anyway vegas has great audio abilities without using a 3rd party program stuff is more infront of you and easier to get done than premiere the community however is much smaller you may have trouble finding tutorials but if you need help hit me up on either aim or email

Also yes it is a very inituitive program after aout 10 mins i had thrown together a rough edit.

I mostly use adobe premiere, but I started with Vagas. Its a good program, it gets the job done. You can get a demo version online if you want to try it out for your self, before you pay $800!:)
