I can see what you want in the concept, if you don't mind I have a few things to add.....
These are all just my opinion.
The base is too blocky. It should have some sort of slightly organic shape. I would at least taper the base and make it narrow in the front and wide in the back (like a dull arrow head)
The legs seem to not be articulate enough to get around, perhaps another segment?
And the cockpit seems like its placed wrong.
It's a kewl idea, I do like the big ass nuke tank sitting on top ;) But maybe do a top and left view to help get it into a draft like shape...might be easier to work with that way.

from your concept it seems the weapon and the vehicle are way too big, if its what you want ok, but it kinda bugs me the exageration of the scale, but there again it could just be your sketch throwing me off
