I hate how you can click on the axis of an object so that you can restrict movement at a certain direction. I always click on it instead of the object. Is there a way to make it non-interactive just visible? Poor me im still waiting to upgrade my PC so I can move onto 4.2 or 5.

In regular Max you can turn it off: customize->preferences->viewports->Transform gizmo.

I hate the darn thing to!

"x" is the shortcut of happyness in this context, for true love and happiness comes with using the transform-gizmo when you want to, and disabling it when it's annoying.

At least imo :)
