Very smooth. I like this a lot. A lot of these PA challenge pics I see make me think that I would off myself before I submitted to life in that way. -- But if this is PA.... sign me up. :D Is he in an organized military? -- Your cloth looks nice and thick.

Thanks. He was an elite soldier hiding in the bunkers during the war. After the aftermath he became a canibal and a brute hunting people for food.More wips in the weekend.I have a pay-job you see.

Well here we are...some updates.I'm now adding details and trying to think of a pet.Any ideas?http://users.otenet.gr/~apdemis/3drenderings/sold1.JPG http://users.otenet.gr/~apdemis/3drenderings/sold2.JPG http://users.otenet.gr/~apdemis/3drenderings/sold3.JPG
Please give some feedback because i'm stuck!:(

hey, you have some good things going there.
here are some things that i noticed:
he looks a bit bent at the knees, kinda leaning back from there, and standing on his toes. so you need to work on the posture some.
i like what you got going there with the mask and the boots but you gotta work more on his coat, it needs more form and design, (sketch something out)
the thing on his right shoulders, Im not sure what that is. i think i needs a more apparent purpose.
the machete, needs some more work also,
the shaft is too simplistic and the blade looks dull.
and i think it would look cool if he was carrying some kind of pack :)
hope that helps, you've got a lot of good things going there and a lot done, so keep it up, you're ahead of the game.
cheers and ciao.
You've got a very nice design base there, what you need is some fleshing out. All your proportions are right so now it's time to just refine the gear. Add nuts and bolts to the iron parts to make it look more clunky, add belts and straps to make him look heavier, add hoses to make him look more functional, add whatever you'd imagine he'd need to survive in the wilderness; knives, water flask, ropes, food rations, ammo, whatever! And where did the pouch from the earlier WIPs go??
Of course all depends on what he's designed to do and your time :)
Also try to add some creases to the clothes. I usually do this by adding rows of edges and then just push them in and outwards. No need to go into much detail there but it helps to make the surface more visually interesting.
Last but not least his pose is very important. You can make him stand at ease, leaning onto his weapon or in full attack stance or even being defensive, warding off some unseen danger.
You've got such a nice WIP there, it would be a shame not to take it that next step further :)
I just read he's a cannibal...great! Then add his trophees! Wisps of hair hanging from his gear, skulls, fingerbones wound into a necklace...all that cheesy stuff you know ;)

Some constructive critic. That's what i wanted...Now,The overal posture is not going to be the same. He's not rigged yet.I'm now adding details but i'm kind of tired.I modeled a shrunk head and a custom shotgun-canon:D but i left them in my work.I will be able to update tomorow maybe. The pouch was all wrong modeled and i desided to model a new one.Well as for the think on his right shoulder it's surely going to have a good use.;)

i really like the helmet style. Its my dream paintball helmet :D
02-14-2002, 04:56 AM
Hey,you have some paint between the eyes!OOOOH,it's not paint.A hudge mutant bug just splooooshed on your face...uuh!
02-14-2002, 05:29 AM
hey i like.specially the mask and the boots......
i like the concept too....
keep it on:D
02-17-2002, 04:56 PM
Well.I want to add details. But i was to tired to continiue.Well here is a pitfull render of the shrunk heads.Don't mind the right one, it's going to change.http://users.otenet.gr/~apdemis/3drenderings/heads.JPG
I'm seriously thinking i should start a new one.My computer is not going to handle what i have in mind.
02-18-2002, 02:26 AM
Well I'm really confused!I don't know what to do.Here is my other idea.Nothing original. A radioactive semi glowing ghoul. Two very rought cpt images. I had no sketches of the canibal before i start modeling and now i am lost having a model too dense without a reason and not knowing what to do with it.Here it is.I'm now sketching the modeling sheets for the head and more cpt images.http://users.otenet.gr/~apdemis/drawings/ghoul.JPG http://users.otenet.gr/~apdemis/drawings/ghoul2.JPG
Damn i can't realy sketch directly in painter....Anyway!:(
02-19-2002, 12:44 AM
AHHH! What the hell!I started modeling today, hoping that i will finish that.So here is the head. Not finished but i think i'm close to my sketches:) http://users.otenet.gr/~apdemis/3drenderings/head1.JPG .Well...that's it for now...bye!

How can i change the preview thumb of my character?
02-21-2002, 04:59 PM
just change the one you uploaded to your own server [I assume the link to the thumb directs there ?]
02-21-2002, 07:20 PM
I went to my page and uploaded a thumb2.jpg file.My previews was thumb.jpg.After that i went to lildragon's thread and changed the link.But...:(
02-21-2002, 07:46 PM
just overwrite thumb.jpg on your upload spot. that will autoupdate the one in the gallery ;)
02-21-2002, 08:06 PM
Ooohaa! Great sketching skills! I really like the ghoul... Maybe he CAN live in the postnuke world - withuot mask! I'm not sure that it would be allowed though... Cool anyway!
03-03-2002, 03:20 PM
Here is a Wip.He is still in subpatches mode.I'm going to freeze him to add details.
03-03-2002, 03:43 PM
he is getting very very cool!
I love the nose!
Is he a gargole?
03-03-2002, 11:24 PM
Thanks Pabbloz.He is a ghoul!:D
He supose to be radioactive and glow like your liquid!:)
03-04-2002, 02:52 AM
Looking great man...hurry up it's till friday...finish him
03-04-2002, 02:41 PM
Good work CGCoko!
It's a real pity you didn't give a pose to the first one of your characters...He was a nice P-A character!
Why did you change???
I give you a suggestion...
Try to finish the second one, bones the 2 characters and make a little scene!(The first character killing the second one because of mutation or something like that...)
Finish your work man...It's really nice!
Courage! ;) :)
03-04-2002, 04:29 PM
ups! sorry CgKoko!
I didn't know what was a ghoul.
hehe, but it seems very coool! :p
Totitch is right! you should complete your characters in a scene. Lot of work, but the sucessful is guaratizee! :D ;)
come on! I'm still waiting for the update!
03-04-2002, 10:22 PM
Hey man, Totich and Pabloz are right. Do it. Make both and make a little scene.....hurry
03-04-2002, 11:20 PM
Well thank you pabblos,Totich and liats.I kind of had that idea but it's probably late now.Iwasn't in the mood of continuing the 1st character cause i didn't had any feedback:( I will try to find some time and finish both but i don't think my boss would be happy about that:D :D :D Thank you for your answers!
I'll try and give it some work later.
Cya later aligator(?);)
03-05-2002, 03:57 PM

03-09-2002, 11:38 PM

I'm still trying to understad your reply:( is there moking in it?There is no reason.I was studying drawing for some years(6) and i have some knolwedge of anatomy.Still i own 5 diferent anatomy books and a whole library of reference photo albums. My model is not finished (i've said before that's rough)cause i didn't had the time to finish it.I was working hard to buy some more anatomy books.:)Idon't have the time to finish it...
