my second character for my reel........Garud.

Indian mythology states him as the Lord of all birds.....the scriptures describe him as having the head , legs...and wings of an eagle...and the body of a human....his head and legs have white feathers....his body is golden..and his wings are crimson......
he is said to have immeasurable strength.....an example was given as...his one feather can lift the complete earth with all its creatures....there are very few references of him in the scriptures and only one major story dedicated to him although he does pop in and out of many other myths including the Ramayana......
snakes were his main source of food...while he also ate any creature or human that tended to the side of evil.....he was merciless in that respect.....he is the vehicle of Vishnu(one among the trinity).
the sketch was created by me based on all this info and more.....exaggerated features were put in as an aspect of a superhuman being....and the head was made to look somewhere in between a normal and a crested eagle.......
the legs might seem huge...but they are necessary coz the wings are gonna be a4 times the size of the body.....so wont be changin th legs.....upeer body has been made thin to compensate for the legs and maintain a light upeer body....
