View Full Version : Sprites render white in HW render
westiemad 09-26-2004, 11:42 AM I have maya on a laptop, when I try to hardware render sprites all I get is white squares. I've assigned a shader to them and a file texture (of a pre rendered sequence of images), and then keyed the texture cycling options etc, and nothing. Even with 1 image on the sprites its a white square. I'm guessing its a graphics card issue?
Maya 6, sorry forgot to say.

I'm guessing its probably a graphics issue, I dont know what else it could if its suppose to be working.

i think it be a sprite naming thing, do they have to be called sprite.0.iff (for example) for simgle images?

Its does sound like a video card problem I have rendered lots of images as sprites and have not had that happen before.
what kind of card do you have in your laptop?

its a geforce go 64MB not sure of the exact model, I think I'll have to take another look at it, maybe i'm being simple (as usual).

Try some of the suggested versions of the drivers that alias certifies for any card similar to yours. Like if it is a gforce 4, try out the drivers that quadro 4 is supposed to use with maya.
