The cloth isn't final, but it was the first time i used a plugin like simcloth, so please excuse that piece of crap ;)

Ok here's another/newer Version, the body is too low detailed yet, but i will add some details tomorrow, have to consider how the design should look like, currently i have no idea for the Torso :(

Really nice job there! Ithink you coudl better intograte the eye glasses, maybe vary the shape just slightly? With the straps on the chestpad, I think perhaps there should be some shoulder pads or at least movable parts there. About the chest maybe just some puffy fabric would work, it is always a good idea for there to be some lower detail parts (Pascal's wisdom not mine) so it does not appear busy. The cloth however could have a patern of micro armor or something for structure? Hope it helps more than hurts,

The eyeglasses were a big problem, so i decided to put en flattened Hemisphere into the mask... the other things i tried, looked ugly :(

excellent model. the mask design gives a very "insect" quality that i think is interesting.
keep up the great work.
Still adding some details to the torso, but now i'm tired and i decided to stop for today, he'll get some pockets and protectors tommorow :)

Great work. If I were to dig for something to crit (and I'm digging deep because you asked) I would say maybe that the part of his mask where his mouth is should maybe be more convex. Maybe some room for a chin. but then again...?
ps he frightens me so dont tell him I made that comment about his chin
you didn't say anything about his chin, a remodel of the mask can't make him angry ;)
whoa whats that? the cloth from his mask is in his mask... outch... i will fix that :)

amazing man...really detailed.....
As i promised, i remodelled the mask around his mouth, and now he can breathe ;)
I also added a flashlight (rightshoulde) a Bag for a nightvisiongoggle, a protector for his belly (is that the right word??), and some other details like screws and clamps for the pipe from his forehead to his back :)

just noticed....I think I would give the cuffs a little more thickness, but I guess they'll probably be hidden anyway.
i don't think that they have to be thicker... because he'll get some big gloves

really good work.
The tube and spikes on his head seem a little strange - I would add them in his back head (like in Matrix) or two ones on each side of the head (you also could do it asymetrically - one left, more right, or so) - could be looking cool

Hi i'm back and Here! (http://www.gfx-scene.de/team/neox/Challenge/Oviraptor.avi) is an little Preview for his little companion, an Oviraptor, something like a hunting dog... :)
i tried to model him nearly exactly around a Picture of a skull if found on the internet...
So please crit alot :)
Ok here's a little update of the oviraptor i'm currently looking for goof references of is musculature (need pics of a birds musculature :( )
i havent started on the leg for now, because i don't know how the muscles are lookin on his shoulder part...
so if you have some good references of an emu's musculature please send them to me :)

My only suggustion would be not to overdo the details. (Look at those boots!)
BTW: I can't see that Oviraptor video after proper download :-(

Yeah right, it's me, Yu-Chung (shit, busted! ;)
Finally saw the Oviraptor. Runs only with "ThaPlaya" which permanently crashes on my machine. But doesn't matter, it looks really nice!
Keep on the good work. I noticed the challenge too late. Can't wait til the next one comes!
Just download the divx 4.02 codec and it works with every mediaplayer...
can't wait to see your work for the next contest :)

i believe he was a very intelligent creature (in comparison to other dinosaurs), he's a raptor, ok he's not as intelligent as the raptors in JP3 (LOL! These Raptors are oversized!!!)
hmmm, don't think that he'll get an armor, he'll get an Collar and chain, that the big Guy can hold him :D
ne next update is coming! I'm currently sitting on hands and feets, but there are still some details on the musculature that doesn't fit...
ok here are his hands, still modelling on the transition of the inner hand to the thumb

PS: Ich wußte gar nicht, das man sooo schnell so ein fähiger artist werden kann! Ich war vorhin mal im 3dmax projektforum drin, und das war im Herbst 2000!!! Very very cool Neox. This update is a great job!. Only I think the feet remember a chicken,... but with textures they will be awesome!!!
And the knees are INCREDIBLE!!!!
Remember in the textures use a specular map! It will make it AMAZING!
I'm impatient to see it finish!!

Verdammt viel Arbeit bis zu solch einem Tierchen ;) Respekt mein lieber Herr Gesangsverein !!! Ich wär´ mehr als zufrieden mit Drahtgittermodellen dieser Qualität... besonders beeindruckt war ich von den Stiefeln - Hut ab ! Aber auch die Muskeln des Raptoren sind nicht so einfach hinzukriegen... vielleicht findest Du auch noch etwas Zeit und kannst mir ´n paar Tipps geben: ich brauch´ nämlich noch´ nen Körper für meine Kreatur: Hier der dirkete Link ! Ok not a 5 Minute update, but the first time i rigged and posed an character! Now i'm going to unwrap him, hope to get him and the big guy finisched till the end of the challenge...

Looks like the guy is... erm... you know... trying to "ride" ;) that poor animal. Hope he won't hurt it by doing that. I mean those spicky things on the boots, of course. ;)

ok tahts it i'll dump this guy, its impossible for me to rig that guy! But i'll finish the Oviraptor to let him fit exactly to the contest rules, althought it was fun to model him, ill throw that guy away...
it's pity but that really doesn't metter to me, it was fun :D
But wait till you see my raptor with a gear!! :D
