hmmm, the more I look at the image, the more I agree with you!
Wish I could draw like that.

Man!! How do you get it to look so good without shading? it looks kinda like Sepiroth. niiiice

Looks good despite the fact that everyone is trying to use this style nowadays.

Very nice Sam!!

I like your style and I have to agree with the others that he looks a bit female, but that allright with me... this way he looks more like an Elf!
Do you mind if I colour this one???

Greets!

I too agree that elves have to be a bit femenine... but this looks like an elvish female! The drawing is awsome though...

Excellent word! and i really like the pose.. specially the perspective on the sword...

Just an exhibition of the excelent use of the perspective.
I really would like see this piece with color, because there are some parts that I don't understand very well

I don't think it looks all that female. he's got a masculine (sp?) chin

Looks really cool...

I've asked about million times but never get a strait answer...how do you get such smooth, clean lines? I have a Wacom and can draw as strait a line as anyone else but it still looks very pixelated. Whats the deal?

roel
08-12-2002, 04:26 PM
Are you joking? If you don't want your lines to look pixelated, simply draw your image ten times as big, and then scale it. Why do think everybody needs so much RAM?

fellipe

hey sam...kick arse job as usual. full of motion and character..well done!

Ummm thanks but I didn't appreciate the tone. My strong hold is not digital drawing. I'm used to doing my work on paper w/ pencil.

I'm sorry. I really didn't mean to upset you, it's just that I'm a bit mentally unstable right now. I'm having trouble saying things in a nice way, strange as it may seem... :(

It's cool...I've been there. :)

Thanks for the tip...I'm still not getting the results I was hoping for though. I think I'm just challenged when it comes to photoshop lol.

my lord! look at all these replys! woohoo! i had to look again to see if this was my post :p

thanks for all the replys guy!

Hasch2o>heh thanks man! nah i think i'm going to move onto another drawing. tired of looking at this one...

roel>yeah i get around on the net :p but i'm not on elfwood prolly somewhere else.

art7> hey sayan! great to see you again :p haha thanks for the compliment man! really diggin your new stuff too! too much talent for one kid!

werner> yeah there's a comic genre in manga called bishonen, i believe, where the men are very efeminate. i tried to go in that direction and it was more of a dare from a friend. she said i only drew big muscled men....

m@> wow thanks for posting in my thread. a huge admirer of your work! your models are awesome!!!!

jeroentje>hehe no i'm not actually, sick of looking at this picture ^^ yeah i wouls love for sangotten to color it! thanks man!

CotW) haha thanks dude. i had to shade the hair actually and i was tempted to put a slight grey tone over it but colroist hate that so i left it out.....except for the hair, but thats on a seperate layer :p

d_hans> heh yeah i know what you mean. it's finally getting kind of popular. been at it for a while so i for one am glad ^^

sangotten> YES!!!! hehe i'll upload a bigger file tonite and email it to you. thanks man!!!

Oz> yeah maybe i went a bit overboard with the femeniness (is that a word?) have to look at it in a month and re-access. thanks though! as CotWok mentioned, the anime difference between men and women is really slight sometimes....

pabbloZ> thanks for the compliment. yeah with some of the foreshortening thing got covered up. i'm actually a little scared to see if this pic will still hold up after being colored ....

paranoidAndroid> yeah higher resolution scans make it finer. usually work at 300 to 600 dpi :p

felippe> hey man! been a long time! thanks for the compliment and i cant wait to see some of your new work. the last batch i saw was blowing my mind!

thanks again guys!

Well, I was in doubt about that one, guess I was confusing you for Hian H. Rodriguez, who does have some similar stuff on Elfwood. Elfwood's down (as usual), but if you're interested you can still see his work here: http://www.fantasya.net/galerie.php?imgsection=1&ref=30

Still, I know I've seen your work some place. I definitely recognize that Solid Snake pic.

Just stumbled across your thread today. This is in true witchblade style art. You'd make DTron proud. Are you working for a major comic label? This rivals some of the work the people at Crossgen Comics are doing. Nice look, clean linework. Keep it up, if you have more I'd love to see it.

Haven't seen your stuff in a while ....

I really dig the way you use 3D space ... You definitely like throwing shit at your audience ... it's great, man ... I love creating that sense of depth by having action happen towards cam ...

Are you still at Sony?

Still a great admirer of yours ...

hey thats a cool picture , why dont u ask them to colour it for u, then when u get some ideas for the colours then u could change it as u see fit, thats what i would do if i was in your shoes...(your a size 10 right?) and for all u people out there not from the uk its our size of shoes.

Hi Itchi,

I really really like your drawing style. I found it sooooo cool that I decided to attemp coloring it.

I hope you guys will like the glass sword ! :p

I hope I didn't break any copyrights by adding my touch to it. Anyway, this drawing is not intended for distribution, of course !
