Hey guys, I am just thinkin here, I have recently m ade a few helpful little files, one on basic lighting setups, one on the ol' volumetric church cathedral light and such, I am wondering how interested people would be if I added a small section onto my UC/WIP site for hosting the hany little files that are not tutorials but noit presets, rather just handy little files for reference on how things are done or work. WHo'd like that, and does anyone think they may have stuff to contibute as well?

Don't email me anything just yet, I am just wondering. I think I would be starting this for R8, as well someone has asked me to write a tutorial sorta thing about making customised Layouts in C4D, and what to sconsider and how to do it and such, would people be interested in this, again it would be done for R8, but in this case a lot would apply to R7. Main reason I will be focusing this stuff for R8, is because by the time I have enough time to do this stuff I will be teaching and R8 should be released or on the verge of being so.

Whats everyone elses take on this.

I would appreciate it a lot. The problem for beginners is that learning goes slow, and before you get a firm grip on your app, a new version comes out with fascinating new possibilities, but also with a partial new approach. So part of real basic learning has to start all over. And by the time you're nearly there, a new version comes out...

Trust me I can totally relate,not that someof the features are hard to learnin R8, but for even the advanced user there are things that will totaly change the way youwork now, and this means having to learnnew tricks, which can be equaly hard when you have been doing it one way for five years, andnow they have this easier more functional quicker way, but your habit is todo it the old way. Maybe I should compile a list if things people would like ot know how to do or use, and start working on them, don't make these all things that revolve around R8, I want to help the XL 6 and 7 guys too.

Also keep an ear out for mentionof the tutorial DVD that Janine and Mash are workin on. I'm sure you will find everything you really need there.

Many people like tearing into stuff to figure out how it ticks :D
