View Full Version : Episode III fan trailer composite
Daniel-B 09-25-2004, 10:25 PM Well, I had some free time with weekend, so I thought I would brush up on my compositing skills. I used scenes from the Return of Darth Vader. It shows bluescreen shots from Episode III. Anyway, I am compositing them, and making a "fan trailer" so to speak. I'm also going to animate the opening space battle in full CGI.
Anyway, here is a test composite of what I've got so far. What do you guys think?

What you've got there looks cool - the glow from the blue lightsaber nicely hides and blue spill that you might have from the bluescreen...
Would be interesting to see it moving...

Actually, the Spill Supressor did a nice job of removing blue spill. By the way, do the lightsaber effects look ok? The blue color of that saber doesn't seem quite right to me, but I don't know how to fix it.

It looks interesting and like Hugh said, would be good to see it in motion. The lightsabres look alright, but I think you'll find that the halo's in most shots are stronger/denser.
Personally, I prefer the lylac lightsabre.:wise:

So, you think the lightsabers should be more intense? Perhaps I should duplicate the lightsaber layer and then screen it back on itself. That will increase intensity by 100%. If it's too much, I can adjust opacity to taste.
Also, I will be showing the motion clip as soon as it's finished. This is just the first shot I've finished.
