I'm working on a new face, but I'm having trouble figuring out just how to get the hair to look as exact as possible. So far, the few options I've tried won't work out. I'm trying to match it as close as possible as it appears in the 2D Drawing, but so far nothing turns out right. Anyone know of a way to get this type of hair style to look right in 3D? I want to get the hair in as a referance so I can work out the problems in the rest of the face.
The Picture in the Middle right is the old model all made in 3D Max 5
Thanks

You can see in the bottom pic that the artist draws strands of hair in large clumps, model one of them and you should be able to quickly repostion and resize to complete the rest.

Try using the ink and paint material to see how it looks.
