I figure in a post apocalyptic world creating a weapon that has no ammunition would be an advantage. I did some loose sketches (which I'll show as soon as I scan them) of a jet which would have a sheild (they ended up looking like salad tongs:p)in front of the cockpit, and would use a dive technique to ram its offence. I also did a sketch of a jet that had retrofitted Airliner engines and wings strapped on it. I then thought maybe ramming would be kinda inefficent due to the slowdown of speed that would ensue, and thus fighting multiple opponents would be too dangerious. So I decided making the wings as blades, a fighter could use these to slash it's prey, and even a larger craft could be taken down with this method. The idea of using oversized engines on a smaller craft appeals to me, and I have a few other things in mind for the pilot and where all the plane parts are mounted, my drawing is in progress, I hope to have it up Saturday.

Here is the concept art I will use. The pilot isn't quite worked out, but I am eager to model the craft.

Sorry, for some reason the image tags are not working for my post.

You can use the insert image button to do place the images into your post easier.

It's an interesting concept, but it seems like it would be absurdly difficult to use. First, you've got to get the pilot to fly Nap of the Earth, like 10-20 feet off the ground, and the blade needs to cleanly slice through whatever it's attacking (which is going to be difficult to do to a car, much less something armored) because if there is any resistance, the plane is going to be pulled nose-first into the ground.
