Take it with a grain of salt. Last time they posted a list on their site like this one, it contained two companies I had worked for that had been shut down for years.

Is anyone else bothered by the Phantom's insanely impractical shape and size?
Just me? okay.

I thought you said you weren't blindly supporting them.
You seem to be one of their viral marketing plants that have been found out in the past.

I thought you said you weren't blindly supporting them.
You seem to be one of their viral marketing plants that have been found out in the past.I'm assuming that was directed at me since I'm the only one that didn't say anything negative about them. I simply saw a rumor post the same day I saw a press release. I just wanted to point out things may not be as bad as people want to make it out to be. I'll tell you all now, I called the PR guy myself yesterday to ask if they were goin to make their original release date, and he said - they were going to be delayed about a month, maybe two. So, rumor confirmed. I just don't like "rumors" - quote your sources, give us some facts. The PR guy insisted the company was just trying to fine-tune their product, and preferred releasing something perfect but a little late, than not. (Hey, Microsoft releases crap and late...) Make your own call what that means, but at least now it's not a rumor.
edit - Oh, and I'm not a marketing plant!! lol gimme a break! :-p I don't get why everybody is do DOWN on this company!!! like some sorta vendetta or something...

I told you in the other thread why everyone is down on this company.
Just because you talked to the PR guy doesn't mean anything. The comapny's CEO and the COO have both lied on federal documents.
The part about the marketing plant is because they have been out'ed on several occasions for using them. The CEO posts under fasle names saying how cool the phantom looks.

Basically, it is very common knowledge here that Infinitum labs has participated in a lot of shady dealing and lying, and has yet to show real credibility. Many of those who support the console have been found to be (in nice terms) plants.
I don’t know why you called up their PR guy, why the PR guy talked to you, and how you know this is the first of a series of press releases, but you must understand that experience has taught us to be suspicious.

The press release itself said it was the first of a series of press releases. You can read it and see for youself! I called the PR guy cuz anybody can call the pr guy of any company if you want company information. Figured that was the only way to find out for sure about the rumor, and he confirmed that it was true. I always base my opinions on facts, and I hate rumors. I never knew about this company until a post on CGTalk about 6 months ago, so I didn't kno about the shady dealing. Everyone's been so down on this company all of the sudden (it seemed to me), and from an unbiased perspective, I just couldn't understand why.
So, do you all think the press release was a lie?!
I swear! I'm not the CEO! lol

It wouldn't be the first lie to come out from them. BTW the PR guy is the CEO's uncle. They have been known to lie on federal court declarations why wouldn't they lie to you over the phone?
Check out one of the articles that started the lawsuits. (http://www.hardocp.com/article.html?art=NTEy)

Ok, I don't think you're a front for infinitum according to some further looking that I did. It's just that we've been BSed by them so many times, the first thing that pops up is questions of credibility.
hang on....this is a PC yeh? (or a PC based console...) and they have secured 20 publishers to deliver 500 pc titles for a pc? thats one hell of a coup! :|

Not really. I can create pacman in a matter of a couple hours, and I can randomly think of even simpler games to make up. Oh, don't forget mine sweeper, and about 250 card games, 600 block games, and (the best) that snake game where you pointlessly keep the line from running into itself.
the sarcasm didnt come across then ? ;)

Ok, I don't think you're a front for infinitum according to some further looking that I did.LMAO!!! So, am I free to go?! LOL!!! I really did belly laugh when I read that!!! :scream:
And yea, 500 games wouldn't scratch the surface of the amount games out there. It would merely demonstrate that people aren't totally against the idea.

The idea no. The people trying to use the idea to get rich yes.

hmm... you might want to rephrase that, after all aren't most of us trying to earn a living? god forbid we actually get rich doing it???

So you are using the idea of a mythical console along with some network that downloads games to get rich while screwing people over in the process? If not maybe you could rephase your response. :)
I never said that people aren't allowed to make a living or even get rich. I was talking about this one point. Feel free to read the hardocp links so you know what some of us are talking about with the company's history.
