Hi
In maya under material glow theres a option to hide the object, hence only showing the glow. Since I really like that effect...
Is there a way to achieve this effect via a compositor, say combustion perhaps? I want to just render out some layers or object id's(I not sure if maya has that concept) so I could do the glow in a compositor, and not showing the object.
For example I have a box, and a another box inside, with the glow.
I have little experince with AE and combustion, and with them how can you get the glow to effect surrounding objects like it would normally behace in maya/max. I know in maya it looks at the specs/and incadescene values for glow composites, but can these be puted and read by a compositor? what format if so?
I know in combustion you have access to max material/object ids...
