View Full Version : Light Sets? Diff Lighting in Same Scene?

Perhaps this is a remedial question, but i'm trying to figure out how to set up several different lighting setups and switch between them... (eg to test out a model under different lighting.... indoors.. outdoors.. HDRI etc)

lights still render when you stick them in layers and turn the layer off, and short of lowering the intensity of each light (and forgetting what the intensity was set at) i can't seem to disable the lights

any ideas folks?

there has to be a way of doing this through the layers......id like to know too...

but in the meantime u can turn off their "emit diffuse" and "emit specular"

Hiding lights stops them from rendering, so you could group each of your light sets and then just hide/unhide the groups to change sets.

thanks heaps.. the hide/unhide thing works a treat... turns out my SSS shader won't render if there are any hidden lights in the scene anyway, so i guess i'm out of luck in that respect
