Hey everyone. I was wondering where I should start for painting cloth. The effect I'm looking for is like the on the link below:
Does anyone know how he did this?

ummm I guess you never herd of texture mapping before. shame :(
use the smudge tool with some dodge and burn.
but be aware that those folds may be modeled as well as bump/displacement mapped...ie it may not just be the texure map

use the smudge tool with some dodge and burn.You forget to mention a few things. The default smudge tool isn't the greatest. It's slightly better though when you turn off spacing for this tool in the brushes palette.
As for dogde and burn, be careful when you use them, every photoshop painter can tell you that. You're actually painting black or white, giving the user the false impression as if they're changing the luminousity.

ummm I guess you never herd of texture mapping before...do you mean texture maping in Photoshop? And of so, can you give few guidlines on how to achieve that (I have't done such thing in PS yet)

Misse do you work in 3d? Texture mapping refers to adding colour maps to your models, here is a link that has texture tutorials, http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?t=77484
