my one year project is in ends status... (hi res animation @1km earth)
but the clouds are not finished.

the earth texture is "self made" project!

im with Ephesus, theres no need to compress a JPEG over 60% for the web...unless its your server

Very nice images...I know how hard it is to get the earth to look good. It's more than just a sphere and a texture.

But about the sizes; this is a 3d graphic forum. With emphasis on graphic and I don't think anyone should have to reduce the quality in their pics. Maybe I'm selfish but I'd rather wait a bit longer and get a big, nice highres, artefactfree pic than load a small highly compressed one. If you don't have the patience to appreciate it then, well, tough luck.

If at all you could load small sizes here and link to the highres ones alternatively, though that extra work is up to you.

Just my opinion.
