View Full Version : Turning off displacement? / ocean shader

To my amusement I am assisting someone which involves using the ocean shader on a poly plane for a short animation.

However short the animation, it would be nice to cut down the rendering time, and I wonder if the ocean-shader's displacement function can be turned off somehow and only having an animated texture.

The height of the seawaves are very low and showing the displacement may not be that important.

I appreciate any help on this.

Its easy. Just break the displacement connection to the shader group node above the ocean shader.

Aha!Thank you!

Using the settings I had before on the ocean shader, and disconnection the displacement in the shading group node, looks (in my case) the same when rendered.
