Title: Sunny Day
Name: Thomas Park
Country: United Kingdom
Software: CINEMA 4D, Photoshop
I have recently joined CGtalk and am fairly gobsmacked by the quality of work on the site. I have decided to put the render of my bedroom in because I would like some constructive criticism.
I am going to be studying 3D digital design soon and would like to hear what people think of this image. It is based on my bedroom, admittadely I could have added more to it but I was going more for an excersise in lighting. I modelled everything apart from the keyboard and the yukka plant.

Hi,
I think you has put the wrong tittle, this is suppose to be 3d catagory, anyway, the main light source seem to be from other side of your room, not from the window. Is there other bigger windows opposite of the small window which near to the bed?
The probs on the table looks flatt and to bright, it make the probs looks floating on the table.

I realised about 3 seconds after I posted the image that itn was the wrong gallery, DOH!!!
Anyway thanks for responses. The lighting is a bit of an issue but really I am experimentalising with me new software, getting some practice in before I trundle of to uni. Cheers

yeah. Your room looks really clean for a chain smoking, beer drinkin, 3D guy. And the attempts to mess it up with the beer and butts look out of place.
I like the background way better than the fore. I don't like the wood grain texture on the desk or the wallpaper on your monitor. I'd put in some more of that solid orange color.
Other than the computer area, your room looks really sweet, man.

The shadows behind the bed and cupboard/plant are especially sketchy and need to be less grainy.
as well as most of the shadows in the scene.
All the objects on the table need some sort of ambient occlusion.
I quite like it ... it is eye catching :)
