View Full Version : Environment - Moody SCI FI
I was going for a Blade Runner kind of SCI FI look with this image :)
It took about 3 days to finish and the image is C4D with Photoshop color and levels touchups etc :)

modelling and textures look good
lightning is very flat ;depth is missing and creates chaotic

It a nice idea, and i like it a lot, but i have to agree with Fex. Overall the models and the texturing are schweet but the lighting has me confused, and wondering about the size of everything and the relationshsip of the airship with the building.
I like it alot, but the lighting needs a spot of work.
War all blacks beating boks!
Thanks guys  ....yep I agree,I am going to re light the whole thing from scratch as I can see your points are really valid:)
Fex - The thingy on top of the building is an energy source of some description.I was going for kind of Egyptian semi Stargateish,I thought it would look cool slowly revolving in an animation :)
Danoku - War ABs beating Boks.....you must be a rugby fan my friend

It looks pretty good to me. I must say that you kinda have some weird tangents in there. I didn't really realize that there was a spaceship in there till I read the one post and went back to look at the pic. The rail at the bottom looks weird too.
Ya I found there were some unhelpful angles on objects and the camera.I have changed the camera angle and am re lighting :)
I will put the new one in the wips section this time.

I went back and looked at it again, and a pretty easy fix that was buggin me, there is a lot of ambient light for a night scene, as would be expected in an urban area. I get the feeling there should be some kind of shadow across the walking bridge left by the ship. Just my impression.
Now if the boks can pull the upset AB's get the Tri-Nat.
Not just a rugby fan my man, an ALL BLACKS fan!
