CGTalk - Lightwave and SDS?

So, as a waver I found modo Native Subdivision Surfaces (SDS) just awsome. Is there a way to convert the mesh back to a lightwave compatable subpatch?

...and is it possible for someone to write a plug for LW that would let you use SDS in the layout? (or is that just wishfull thinking)

:Currently there is no way to use subdivisions in lightwave, however you can easily move back and forth between subd's polys and subp's to change any n-gons to tri's and quads, or to change poly flow
