Hello friends,
I recently stuffed some of my ideas on GI lighting into this 1-page tutorial/walkthrough -
http://www.claus-figuren.de/tutorials/
Point of this is, I wasn't really happy with using photons/fg, so I tried to find a completely different solution which is cleaner, even if it takes longer to calculate. The good thing was that it turned out to not take much longer to calculate, the bad thing though is the amount of setup effort that you'll have to make, especially within the model geo... read on inside.
Here are two pictures rendered with the method described in the tutorial:
http://www.claus-figuren.de/wip/jensen1.jpg
http://www.claus-figuren.de/wip/jupp02.jpg
(this one has an error in the setup which results in the room being too bright)
Enjoy the tutorial, curious for any feedback,
Ray
ps: is it ok to crosspost xsibase/cgtalk btw?
