CGTalk - no sound in a playblast

I can't seem to get sound when I make a playblast. I have to sound imported and on in the timeline, and the sound plays when I scrub through it. Any suggestions?

I have noticed that when you playblast to an avi, if you dont let maya play to the end of the timeline, but instead you hit escape because you want it to finish earlier, then you will not get sound in the resulting avi.

Is there any other reason that the playblast doesn't have sound with it? I am using a mac if it makes a difference, I have tried it with fcheck and saving as a quicktime, hasn't made a difference. :banghead:
