View Full Version : Camera question.
Say I am building a sci fi city and I want the maximum amount of depth I can achieve, how do I move the camera using the 2 key and scaling back or other and still be able to place an object in the foreground without the object having hugely distorted geometry due to the depth/perspective of the camera angle? I can do this in Pshop but it gets tedious doing it this way :)
Thanks

always start with your focal length.
If you're doing a vast panorama, keep it to between 25-35mm.
The further you can pull back and keep everything in, the shorter focal length you can use.
Too: the smaller focal lenght will give a good illlusion of size, making thigs look bigger than they actually are.
Thanks Grey
I thought by using the 2 key I was moving the camera backwards, but it just changes the focal length..didnt realize that...:)

oh yes... forgot about that.
What I do to move the camera in and out is select the camera button on the side and the move key, then use the right mouse button...
I keep looking in the manual for a more efficient way, but have never found one...
