View Full Version : Mark Davis, SSS for Linux Maya 6
Jackdeth 09-17-2004, 09:19 PM Has anyone heard from him in a while? We just upgraded to 6.01, and I noticed that his SSS shader is missing the ".so" for Linux for maya 6... :sad:
I've send e-mail to him a few times, but I haven't heard back from him in quite some time.

Jackdeth, I just downloaded md_subScatter_shaderPack.zip and md_subScatter_v1_0.zip, there is an .so file in the 1.0.zip "md_subScatter60.so" not too sure what the difference is though.

I was told that was for the maya version, not the mentalray.... but I could be way wrong about that. I'll check it out. Thanks

I didn't think that shader worked with maya software, from what I understand it's mental ray only so you should be good to go if you need to compile it for Linux.
