Greetings everyone! I am a Graphic Designer/Student, currently working on student project to create an automobile brochure using mainly Illustrator vector graphics of our chosen automobile. My peers and I have been fans of this site, and at an instructor's prompting, I have placed the image I am currently working on at your feet for some professional critiqueing. It is fairly well along, though with these things you could draw a lifetime and never feel that it was complete. I'd like to hear any feedback you wish to give, and would be most appreciative as well.
Software: Adobe Illustrator CS
Title: Ford GT

Looks great! I posted a couple comments on the attached JPEG. The glass and chrome are perfect. The rendering of the sheet metal, though, could use some work- I can't easily say what to do, except: go back, look at your reference photo and adjust the specular highlights to relate to the physical form of the car. (Yeah, I know- easier said than done.)

Good luck,

GM

I think illustrator is not a good package for shadow.. use PS and retry the shadow to get more perfection... rest looks great

Jeffrey,

That's darn nice for 2d vectors!

The lighting on the left side seems to only appear on the one red 'panel', and cuts off abruptly. On most of the 'panels' the way you added highlights through gradients is a little too obvious. But the clean lines and shapes are great, plus a very dramatic perspective.
