Another great scene and view!
One crit tho, is the moon that flat? Ive never been there but isnt made of rocky rock. lol
I dont know, it just seems a little flat with pebbles thrown in for good measure.
Its awesome anyway!

Nice image Erik,
I agree with F10 that the moon looks too flat. Try some displacement and some rocks with scatter or particles...

Thanks for all your comments and crits.
I agree. we had a little bit of hard time setting the ground and since we had a deadline it had to be submitted as is. It is hard to have a complete render especially straight out from the scene like this one. We tried photos but it is such a large image that we had to be sure it matched the render quality. This and others were produced to be printed at about 28 inches by 22 inches.
Thanks again!

good overall quality, but the sun rays aren't visible without atmosphere...

I agree that the light shouldn't have volumetrics. But, as far as the surface of the Moon I'd say you're fine. There are large expanses of the Moon that aren't mountainous.
From all of the pictures I've seen from orbiting the Moon, it's quite clear that the Moon has plenty of bland/level surface areas. Remember, this scene takes place ON the surface of the Moon.
