i've try polytrans, and it dosnt work,like the other i've try until now!! so if someone can help me?

It involves an extra step, but if you export into Maya (if you happen to have it sitting around) as a 3ds and from Maya export out as an obj you should be alright. Fun huh?

You could use Credo Life Forms,, 30 day demo available at thier site, reads LW perfectly and exports to .3ds without a hitch and back again.

you're shure that life form, export lightwave animation and not only mesh?

If the intent is to export animation from MAX into lightwave yes,,,export it from MAX as a .3ds,, open it in Life forms,, edit it if you need to, and export that as Lightwave Format... its a way of transfering motion from MAX to LW,,, the geometry will need to be saved out of MAX as a .3ds and opened in LWModeler, transfered to Lightwave and then merge the motion file from Life Forms into the scene. Read the PDF files that ship with the CD Demo it will show just what to do...

i need to do the opposite thing, i want to export from lightwave to max is it possible?
