View Full Version : Removing Image Maps???

Question: How would i remove the existing image maps off of a character to get them back to their original "grey", untextured look?

I''ve been animating in Maya, so i haven't messed with texturing... I'm guessing it has something to do with the Hypershade Window???

Just go to hypershade window.

Select the shader assigned to the character and Middle mouse drag it to the lower half of the hypershade window.

Now right click on the shader and choose "Graph Network". The whole shader network will be displayed, now u shud see the image map assigned to the shader. Just click on it and hit delete key on the keyboard.

Voila! Its done.
