Hi,
I've been animating some little alien characters. Used Character Studio for bones and Physique for skining. Characters got 2 antenna on their heads. I wanted to animate these antennas also. So I used a spline for bone, and 2 dummy to attach start and end vertices (top and bottom) to dummy objects using "linked x-form" modifier. Then I linked bottom dummy to biped head. I also wanted some secondary motion on those antennas. So I decided to use that "spring controller" on the antennas. I appy it to top dummy objects. Then I've tried to move the character around to test it and it worked perfectly. I was really happy and thinking "why didn't I used this Spring thing? It would've been fun!" Well it isn't... It started good, I've made some keyframes on the biped head and dummy objects. But after a short while it started to slowdown when animating. Then after a few more keyframes it gets slower and slower that I can't animate that character anymore. I've tried to hide all the chara!
cter mesh, antenna dummy, anything but biped and it's still very very slow. Is this the how spring controller works? If so, what should I do to turn it of temporarly or Cache it's animation or something?
By the way I'm using a P4 2.8ghz, 512MB ram and GeForce4 ti4600.
I appreciate for any help...
