I am not usually the one to endorse or criticize anyone's efforts to put out a tutorial video. If someone wants to create a tutorial video, it will usually be judged by those who buy it and either find it useful or realize they spent their hard-earned money on a less-than-quality product.
With that said, I would like to say that the KURV Studios Chevy SSR modeling tutorial DVD is simply the BEST video tutorial set I have ever seen for Lightwave. If you have EVER wanted to learn how to build a car...or ever wanted to learn the correct way to use spline patching in Lightwave, then this set of video tutorials is simply a must have for all Lightwave users from beginner to seasoned pro.
The video takes you through every single step in the creation of this car, from setting up the background images to the smallest detailing of the car. Clear, concise, easy to understand steps show you exactly how to set up your spline cage, how to connect them properly, how to do your patching, and then how to create your details on the finished car.
I have seen many, many videos tuts in my time, but none of them compare to the easy way this video takes you through the process of spline patching. Certainly, one of the most asked about features in Lightwave. After watching this tutorial, and a bit of practice, you can create any vehicle, or for that matter any type of object you wish using splines.
