This image has been published in XSI august 2002 gallery. I focused on hair finish. The model is not perfect but I think it's a good base to fur.

Looks good but to be honest the fur needs some tweaking...it needs hi-lights and shadows. It currently looks like a cartoonish image with the same lighting all across it.

Just some constructive critism.

It looks pretty good, but the fur is not really convincing. Now, when I compare this digital mouse to my real, live hamster, I see 2 flaws. I think they're flaws in the model, though I might have a flawed hamster, you never know!
1: The mouse's hairs seem to thick and bristly.
2: The mouse's hairs seem to stick out in unnatural directions, particularly on the hands and feet.

I think this little rodent will look a lot better if you manage to fix these 2 problems. If not, I'm still impressed!

I think the fur on the legs look too ruffled...comb them all down to lie flat
... Yeah!..the model sucks!! ....c'mon you can do better than that!!;)

Very nice! The fur is not perfectly realistic, but I like it.

The only thing I would change is make him a bit fatter.

Also, I think you have a spelling error in your description. The correct spelling is "doormouse" not "dormhouse".

very nice! as suggested, it could use a little highlight work, but I for one, am impressed. Keep it up.
