hi all, this is one of those scenes you do on a sunday and for some reason become better than you spected, I will use them for my webpage and interactive cd.

I tryed to create a cold, metallic, clean and dark scene, I call it "use and abuse of raytracing"

c&c are welcome

is interesting how sometimes you feel really good about an scene , but the rest of the world just wouldn't like it.....

wonder why,... too dark? too cold?

Maybe add e couple torches in the front with flames. The flames would add some more color and light to it. Otherwise, pretty cool, though I'm not into scary stuff. If it were the entrance to a ride, I'd run the other way.

Pretty good! If I had to pick one thing I don't like, it would be that checkered slab background around the door. Maybe like a solid granite slab would look better? Or maybe grey bricks?

The clasping hands are a nice touch. looks like the metallic parts came out pretty well. you using the light tracer for rendering? How many bounces are you set at?

Thanks for your comments Deathcricket, you know actually i'm rendering with scanline, two omni lights one white, one blue casting with advanced raytracing on defaults, also a little omni in front of the ball. that glow effect I did in after effects just by having an added layer with hight contrast and gaussian blur.
