CGTalk - can't install texporter??

hey!!

i just downloaded texporter but i can't seem to install it :(

i followed the instructions in the installer but it just doesn't show up when i run max.
it's not in the utilities>more menu. and it isn't in the plug-in manager.

i definately have the right root folder for max. i have admin access to the computer.
i don't get any errors when installing. it just doesn't appear in max. and it's definately the right version for the copy of max i am running.

i have used it before with no problems about 6 months ago.

i really can't think of anything that's wrong.

any ideas?

hey!!

well i guess there might be somethign wrong with the installer.
it worked when i opened the zip file and just copied the plug-in to the directory.
( incase anyone else gets the same problem)

you say you have the right root folder, but did U check that the Texporter3.dlu was really in the plugins folder ? \\3dsmax\plugins\Texporter3.dlu (file://\3dsmaxpluginsTexporter3.dlu)

might be @ another level and max could not load it

Hello Rob,

I have 3DS max 6 and in my case installer created additional max folder and plugin
subfolder and there was texporter and that`s why it is missing in max 6
