I'm having a problem with combustion masking. I have got my scene all fixed up nice and dark, and I want an effect of a beam of light searching the scene. I want where the light hits the ground to be lit up like how I originally painted it in photoshop, so I got my mask going with the painted beam of light, and it looks cool... in the preview window, but when I render it, the mask turns to a black blob. And no matter what format or compression I render as, the mask will only come up as a black blob.
Also, the mask has to be the highest on the hiarchy or it to looks like a black blob in the preview window the moment I view anything that's higher than it.
Here's basically what the workgroup looks like:
____________________
>Draw Mask
>Draw Mask
eliptical mask
>composite
Discrete CC Basics
>Nested layers untitled
>composite
layer1
>paint
footage...
layer2
>Footage Library
-----------------------
The mask I have is inverted on the global settings, the background of the mask is set to "nested layers untitled" (doesn't matter if it is titled, result is the same). Where ever the mask is I can see the Nested Layers before the Discrete CC basics operator was applied, but only in the work/preview window... when I render, the mask comes up black.
Anyone know a way to get the render to work??
