I'd like to know which of the two programs you would first start using (fooling around with) if you were newbies? Blender or Wings or both at the same time? Now, I don't want to start a flame war! But please answer.

Well, it depends, what would you like to concentrate on first? Animation, rendering, modelling, texturing?

If you want to just start general 3D, i would imagine using Wings and Blender together will be good. (Using Wings for modelling.)

Try them out, some people will feel more comfortable with modelling in Blender, while other, like Wings. (Like me. :p).

Experiment with them both, make models in Wings, and import it into Blender for texturing (Although Wings has a very easy to use UVmapper too.) and rendering.
